A valiant performance from our girls today. Much improved on yesterday. Our match against the group favourites MGL North (Dublin) saw us pitted against a team that had two wins in their first two matches - both 3-0, the second one against Mayo that beat our ten ladies yesterday!

Our girls gave a strong showing with outstanding performances from all of them such that with a couple of minutes to go the match commentator on the live link said that he couldn't pick which one of our ladies would be person of the match and that it was a complete performance defensively coupled with some great passing. As the game passed into injury time we conceded a penalty from a situation we looked to have under control and the game was lost!

Nothing to be ashamed of in this performance - Manager Amy Horgan and her team set up their team well against the strongest side in the group and we played every bit as well as them - we were very unfortunate not to draw the game and could have nicked it from one of the 4 or 5 frees we won close to the opposition box.

Hopefully tomorrow brings the bit of luck that has deserted us so far. We have a match against Kilkenny League at 12 noon followed by one against the North East Counties Schoolboys/girls League.
